From Dubai to Sharjah: Zayed National Museum announces UAE-wide spring tour
Interactive cultural sessions to explore identity, archaeology and regional storytelling
ABU DHABI – The Zayed National Museum is bringing its cultural programming beyond traditional gallery spaces with a spring tour across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The initiative is designed to connect communities with the nation’s heritage through talks, workshops and discussions led by cultural specialists.
Spanning four cities, the programme offers varied themes that highlight archaeology, identity and the role of museums in shaping collective memory. Each stop is tailored to its local audience, ensuring a distinct experience across every location.
Dubai
The tour begins in Dubai on Sunday, April 19 at Alserkal Avenue, where the focus will be on how art, symbols and material culture influence regional identity. The session runs from 4 PM to 5 PM and is accompanied by a hands-on workshop for younger participants from 3 PM to 4 PM.
The day forms part of Alserkal Art Month 2026, which begins on April 18, adding to the city’s wider cultural calendar.
Ajman
Ajman will host its session on Wednesday, April 29 at Majlis Ameen Al Shurafa from 5 PM to 6 PM, with discussions centred on the role of museums within families and wider communities.
Al Ain
The tour then moves to Al Ain on Monday, May 18 at Al Ain Museum, also from 5 PM to 6 PM, focusing on how cultural institutions contribute to heritage preservation.
Sharjah
The final confirmed stop takes place in Sharjah on Thursday, May 21 at the House of Wisdom, running from 5 PM to 6 PM. The session continues the broader conversation around heritage, knowledge and community engagement. Registration is required for all events, ensuring structured participation across each city.
The programme will continue beyond May, with additional sessions planned across the remaining Emirates through June 2026.
